Multimedia Authoring Platform and Web Operating System for Internet / Radiology
To built and use an open-source platform for the network-distribution
and CD-ROM publication of radiological contents, databases and
applications.

In order to integrate all computer-based resources used into a standard
and versatile multimedia package, we chose to co-develop a multimedia
authoring environment using worldwide standard open-source software
packages: Apache, PHP and MySQL.
Based on private and professional works from the authors dating from
1995 and after, the resulting web operating system and its applications
offers "non-power-users" the means to publish multimedia online and on
CD-ROM, while enabling simple handling of users, user-groups, agendas,
forums, collections, ... with no previous extensive web-knowledge. For
more than two years now, the non-fulltime two person basic workforce has
managed to produce, what we believe to be an economically,
ergonomically and logically sound product.
