Topographic Imaging of Orbital Pathology

Thierry Somon, Luca Spadola, Nadja Tajouri*, Jean-Baptiste Martin, Daniel Ruefenacht, Jacqueline Delavelle
Radiology Department, *Ophtalmology Department - Geneva University Hospitals, Switzerland

We illustrate the spectrum of pathologic entities that affect the orbit and its contents as shown by computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) based on a serie of 100 patients. In order to simplify the differential diagnosis and to be as close to radiologic practice, we will discuss the diverse pathologic entities according to their anatomic locations.

To do so, we have divided the orbit in the following six compartments :

globe   optic nerve   muscle   bone and dura   vascular   lacrymal gland

In each anatomic area we will discuss the pathologies according to their frequency.

This site, including online applications, is built using our co-developed open source CMS named BolinOS, you can contact us for more info about this shared project.
